Lowertown is a great neighborhood with a very close knit community but crime does happen. In an effort to further alleviate any crime in the area we’re asking residents and businesses a like to be vigilant and report suspicious activity. You may also want to check out some of the crime prevention tips below courtesy of the Saint Paul Police Department.

Weekly District Council Crime Reports
In keeping with the police department's philosophy on community policing, the need to work with each of the 17 district councils is vitally important and necessary.  Information on crime trends, neighborhood issues and safety concerns must be distributed to each district council and members of the public in order for the police and community to be effective at combating crime.  It is with this cooperation, the police, district councils - and the community are able to work together and successfully confront crime and safety issues in our city.

The District Council reports contain incidents for the following categories: Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Theft, Auto Theft, Arson, Simple Domestic Assaults, Vandalism, Narcotics, and Discharge of Firearm.

Simply click on this link, then click on the weekly report under Raw Data in .xls you would like to download. The Lowertown district grid number is #133. Once the file has downloaded, open it in Excel or another spreadsheet program then simply search for grid #133 or run a quick search in Excel (Hold down CTRL +  F then type 133 in the search window- your results should be highlighted, click next to see further results).
